Creators Hunt announcement below

One of the first things we at Bloomr.SG noticed about the Singaporean creative industry, in the time before Bloomr.SG as a team/concept/brand was created, was that as a whole, even though Singapore is/was a fantastically dynamic place, the content creator network environment in the country was inherently inefficient.

Due to the complete centralization of power of certain things like the uneven development/investment on/of certain creators & accounts over others, the lack of a consistent point of communication between creatives and more importantly, the lack of QC (quality control) amongst all content creators in the industry, the overall workflow, relationships & communications amongst the majority of the pieces of the creator economy (and hence its network) needed a bit of a nudge.

How Inefficient Network Environments work:

SG Content Creator Networks in the past:

Competition is chaotic
Comms between big & small creators = non-existent
QC not up to snuff
Aggregators of talent w/o care for the smaller creators
Platform inefficiency

What Bloomr.SG set out to do:

So, one of the mandates, vision & objectives of Bloomr.SG was to create (if possible) a more efficient way to generate a network environment that would directly change the efficacy of the creator networks in the country & the capacity to create better content in the long run.

Efficient Decentralized Networks of Creativity breed 5 things across their impact on the countries they’re a part of (and here this can be further discussed or researched/read over the the findings of the UN on the impact of the creative economy during COVID last year):

More Choice
Better communicating network means less friction, means lower barrier of entry, means more choice. This increase of choice (and elements in the network) increases the overall minimum production value of the network (and industry) and hence increases the variability of its components.

Better Quality of Content & Ideas
More choice breeds variability, which in turn makes content & ideas compete against things & choices that previously they didn’t (locally). This in turn makes fighting for attention & quality a necessity as variability, diversity & possibility of choice creates comparisons and influences/sources of creativity that before didn’t exist. To that, diversity of thought and action (that are constructive to the environment) build on the efficiency of communication & interaction and therefore create better quality outcomes over what is being produced in the network environment.

Longer Sustainability of the Industry
If more creatives and creativity are developed in an industry (products & producers), the more market viability that increase in production creates as the audience has more and longer choices to make. That in turn increases the sustainable value of what is being created, building on the reliability of the industry for its future survival (that is as well with the caveat that the network has in place, viable, iterative and increasingly profitable business models).

Relationships Grow & Build
The more, better relationships grow in an efficient network, the fuller the connections become amongst the network members, solidifying lines of communication and creativity. This build-up of “calluses” and strength in connective bonds between the elements of a creative network means that said network will not only have pillars of where growth can occur around, but that communication & creativity inside the network travels faster (closeness bias needs to be fought by increasing the number of decentralized relationships amongst the network, therefore increasing the amount and quality of connections).

Volatility in the Industry Decreases
When you’ve increased the amount of choices in the network, have better quality of products & relationships in it and have implemented solid, future ready business models to make that now an efficient network of creativity, what happens to the lives inside the network is simple = there’s an inherent decrease of volatility in said creative network & a higher potential of survival inside the now efficient network.
Volatility is a factor of uncertainty, erratic change & uncontrolled (unplanned) network environments or outside factors. By building a strong, efficient & working network of content creators around the local economy, means that in the long-run for future creatives, said industry becomes more stable and competitive.

So… even though a lot of the objectives & vision of Bloomr.SG can be at times “grandiose”, the reality of just setting out and adjusting (slightly but firmly) the network environment of how creators communicate & work together with us, means that, in the long run, that small adjustment can reap fantastic benefits if our changes have ripple effects in the overall reality of the country.

We are, by no means, done with our work in increasing the efficiency and the quality of the creator economy & network of content creators in Singapore but, we definitely are thrilled to go in a direction where the impact of said change, can bring to all Singaporeans a new wave of fantastic content creators & content that will forever change the future of the local Singaporean STORY.
